Exhibit Opportunity

Anyone have some work they want to enter in a show in Jeffersonville? Go to:

www.springintoart.org

I'll be serving as the awards judge, don't know how it'll be juried, but it would be fun to see some work from IUS.

These aren't for sale? Again that 200 level revue thing is an issue. :)

This looks like a really fun opportunity, and it seems like the work will not be for sale. (?)

I have a few questions about the submission process (such as who we need to send the application and the photos to) but I'll contact them and hopefully sort it all out.

Never mind! Found it.

I'm sure there's a provision for indicating whether artwork is for sale or not. These kinds of juried/judged competitions don't generally have big sales, but sometimes they will move pieces on to new homes. Also, Connie, you would have time to create other works between now and the time of your 200 review should you sell something and need to replace it. Don't hold back on opportunities to exhibit your work, especially in competitive exhibitions. They are good resume builders.

I'll take another look at it Brian. I had hoped to make the library show but with being sick I think I missed it. And now they're predicting snow for next week. BLAH! But, I'll take another look at this one.

I do have a question. I know the university won't allow access on snow days to students to work and that's OK. What about spring break? Will we have access to the printshop then like we do on weekends?

Brian, do you have contact information for the people with this? I entered two pieces and there was a bit of a glitch. It wouldn't let me submit the photos with it. They took the entries though. I need somewhere I can send the photos to.

They contacted me already Brian. I submitted my art. I went with a couple from 3D. I debated on the tents on tents from last summer but I didn't have a really good photo and I like all three of those.

I just tried to submit a piece as well but when I try to send the picture with the entry form, it says the page is not found!!!
???? What should I do?

I don't know, Miranda, check with Connie. She had the same problem, but after talking to the folks who receive the entries, she got it figured out.

This is a message I got from the folks who are hosting the exhibit: "I think some of the problems have been worked out.......to some degree. I suggest that they call 812-282-2151 or e-mail 4jfaye@sbcglobal.net. If that doesn't work, I can get some entry forms to you at the school. Just let me know how this works."

I think we should hear today on this. OK, I don't handle pressure well!

Brian, I sent you an e-mail. My wire hand from 3D made it in. Then in graphics Miranda mentioned she had a piece accepted too. I guess she's got some schedule conflicts though and won't be able to get in. Then Aberlyn posted on FB that she's in too!

Are we seeing a pattern here? IUS art student ROCK! :)
